Adventures

Recently, my friends I decided to go to a beautiful beach in St. Ann, Jamaica for a day of rest and relaxations. It got me thinking about how many little moments in life we sometimes take for granted. Though we only spent a few hours there, it felt like a lifetime of fun and adventure could've been squeezed into that one day.

If you watch a lot of news, you see a lot of negativity in the world and around your own countries and communities. It can be really easy to forget that this planet we're all sharing isn't all bad.

I mean just look at this gorgeous beach!

Regardless of where you live, there is something fun, beautiful or unique about your town or country. When life gets you down, or you just feel overwhelmed by all the horrible things that are going on around us find somewhere in your town, country or city that you've never been and go visit! No matter how bland, boring or horrible where you are may seem, there's beauty...you've just got to find it. Don't take for granted the things around you.

I'm blessed to have been born and live in such a beautiful place. Jamaica can also be a very violent place. I try to avoid Jamaican news because things can get pretty bad down here. It is a third world country, so there is a lot of poverty and we have a LONG way to go to develop ourselves. Nonetheless, I live in one of the most beautiful places in the world, and I will always do my very best to NEVER forget that.

Take a minute, breathe and go on an adventure. (Don't go far, don't spend lots. Find the beauty & adventure around you!) Before you get down and out, remember how much beauty (and good) there still is.

We spend so much time searching the world for the things that are right in front of us.
